Why we focus on home charging
Home charging is a specific job with its own requirements — earthing arrangements, protective devices, scheduling, tariffs and a cable route that has to look acceptable on the front of somebody’s house. Doing that well is a different discipline to general domestic electrical work, and it is what we concentrate on.
Clear advice, before anything is fitted
Most people arranging their first charger are also getting to grips with a new car, a new tariff and a new app. We would rather spend time up front explaining the options in ordinary language than sell you something that turns out to be awkward to live with.
Every property needs its own plan
Two houses on the same street can need quite different installations depending on where the board sits and where the car parks. We do not quote a single national price and hope it fits, and we will always tell you when something looks like it needs a closer look.
Neat, safe work
Installations are carried out by an appropriately qualified competent installer, tested and certified on completion. The finished job should be safe, compliant and tidy enough that you are not reminded of it every time you pull onto the drive.
Where we work
Exeter and the surrounding areas — Topsham, Cranbrook, Exmouth, Crediton, Cullompton, Tiverton and nearby communities. We are a service-area business without a public office; coverage depends on the installation location and contractor availability.
Working with our installation contractor
Exe Home Charging works with a genuine, appropriately qualified local installation contractor. Their registration and credentials are set out below and will be published here once verified — we will not display scheme logos or approval claims before that verification is complete.
